Excellent accommodation for multiple families with a great location, lots of living space, and heaps of activities. We just wished the check-in time was a bit earlier, as it was listed at 4pm in the check-in details.

Thomsons’ Retreat in Rye was Absolutely Stunning. A beautiful, light, airy home nestled in a quiet, undulating street. The home was immaculate. Every conceivable appliance and luxury was provided. The beds were generous and covered in the most exquisite eiderdowns and pillows. Real, thriving houseplants provided a genuine homely feel. The bathroom was spacious and bright and the oversized tub was sublime. There was a cupboard full of newly boxed and varied games and a great TV and Xbox consol. … but who needs that, when you’re transfixed by a wonderful, illuminating glass-boxed fireplace? I cannot recommend Thomsons’ Retreat enough. Simply, Brilliant!

We had a fantastic stay at the Red Hill property, the house was spacious, was very well appointed, with everything we needed internally & also in the external areas. The surrounds were beautiful, very private and really peaceful. Perfect for a restful/ relaxing weekend. We loved the place and would love to book again.

My family and I loved our stay at this place. The pool heating was well managed despite the cool weather with gas heating. The rooms were very clean and well maintained with comfortable beddings. The master bathroom was amazing. Sure to return.

The Team at Holiday Shacks. Honestly this place is fantastic. Stylish, yet family friendly, with so many toys, activities, and space for everyone to just enjoy being out of the city. We had 8 adults and 4 kids and didn’t at any point feel cramped or overwhelmed. Just a fantastic place. Will definitely be back.
