Architecturally the house is worth a stay you enjoy post modern. & the gardens are private and very beautiful. Mt Martha shops are a quick drive away – However, the process to secure the booking was onerous including what felt like a complete download of your personal details and a sizeable bond plus 1.5%! . The fees are quite excessive and we paid the equivalent of a five star hotel rate. I guess the joy of staying at a house is the amenities which bring some home comforts. Whilst listed on the website, there was no microwave, coffee machine nor even a bread knife…..just lots of decorative ornaments scattered throughout the kitchen. Plunge coffee maker but no coffee. A tad confusing. I guess the most concerning and disappointing issue was the bed stains we found on the sheets. Not sure what they were but we felt particularly uncomfortable. The second room had a similar issue – so we gritted our teeth overnight. New sheets were sent the next day. Appreciated

We do ask our guests to complete a no party policy form as mentioned in our terms prior to booking and the merchant fee is standard. We do look after 5-star properties so hence the requirements. La Fauvette is a beautiful , well maintained property in a great location. Wonderfully homey feel. Tastefully decorated Extremely clean. It was an amazing home away from home for myself and my family (wife and two kids) and made for an excellent base for exploring Mornington. Highly recommend this property!

The Team at Holiday Shacks. This was our second stay at a house down in St Andrews Beach and we are already booked to head back next year. Beautiful house close to the beach, equipped with everything we needed for a perfect family holiday with our two kids. Holiday Shacks’ staff were so helpful when booking and very prompt in responding during the stay if we ever needed anything. The stay was probably more expensive than most beach-side rentals, but it was worth every cent.

The Team at Holiday Shacks. We had a great family holiday at Ocean Luxe Retreat. It was ideal for multiple families with young kids and we had lots of fun playing on the tennis court and swimming in the pool. The house was immaculate and had great facilities!

This house was absolutely stunning and talk about a location situated right on the beautiful Chelsea beach. The rooms were so comfortable and quiet. Walking distance to shops and Chelsea train station. Secure parking if you’re driving. Gorgeous little cafe at the top of the street also. We absolutely loved our stay and will book here again in the future we didn’t want to leave.

Holiday Shacks were great to work with. Coastal tranquility was well located within an easy walk to Rye shopping and the beach. The bedrooms were well set up and the home was well stocked and equipped. The children enjoyed the pool and the outdoor decks.

Outstanding, spacious – beautifully furnished house with excellent facilities including tennis court, heated pool and spa. Amazing views of the bay and the city lights at night. Received a lovely hamper and handwritten note from the owners. Was our third visit and we will be back. Holiday Shacks were as always super helpful and efficient to deal with. I wouldn’t use anyone else for a Peninsula stay!

Our fourth time back at this fantastic property. Suits us so well with walking distance to Sorrento yet quiet and close to the back beaches too.. The spa pool is an added bonus and the extremely comfortable beds make this perfection for us. Hope to be back soon.
